Daarvoor gaan we wel acht eeuwen terug. De tijd van \u201cKoning Othmar\u201d. In die tijd was een verre voorvader van mij, Gert van Beverforde, hier ook al hofmeier. Hij was raadsheer, voerde administratie, sprak recht en inde het geld van de inwoners die behoorden tot het koninkrijk Othmarsheim (zoals dit gebied toen werd genoemd). De stad Othmarsheim is veel groter geweest dan het huidige Ootmarsum. Helaas heeft een grote brand in 1361 weinig overgelaten van de prachtig versierde houten gebouwen uit die tijd. Een aantal markante plekken zijn overgebleven. Tijdens deze wandeltocht \u201cDe schatkamer van Koning Othmar\u201c kom je ze allemaal tegen\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p>Al onze routes zijn uitgezet over bestaande paden en wegen. Het kan soms zijn dat de lijn van de navigatie (iets) afwijkt van de weg\/het pad waarop jullie je op dat moment bevinden. Wees gerust, dit ligt niet aan jullie. Door de hoeveelheid en verschillende navigatiesystemen (Apple, Android, Samsung, Mio, Garmin, enz) is het onmogelijk het voor iedereen 100% kloppend aan te bieden. Daarbij heeft is de omgeving ook van invloed. In een (drukke) stad, bebosd gebied, open heideveld, zandweg, enz. Volg daarom altijd de paden\/wegen. Bij twijfel is het soms handig al iets verder te kijken op de route om zo de juiste weg te bepalen.<br \/>\nWe wensen jullie hierbij veel plezier, geniet, maar wees ook alert. Deelname aan onze tochten doe je volledig op eigen risico. Als wandelaar, fietser of automobilist ben je deelnemer van het verkeer. Houd je dus altijd aan de geldende verkeersregels.
